| Scope and content | | Series forms part of Department of Labour fonds and consists of two lists of fatalities caused by mine and quarry accidents in Nova Scotia. Lists, compiled by the Nova Scotia Department of Mines and Energy, provide the date of the accident, the person's name, the name of the company or mine, and the cause of death. Series also includes a register of the Inverness Railway and Coal Company, that records mining injuries and provides the name of the miner injured, the claim number, the date of the injury, and the date returned to work. |
